Book God Bless the Gargoyles
by Dav Pilkey
Activity: Making Angles and Gargoyles
Eyes, noses and mouths cut from magazines or drawn.
Paper lunch bag
Something put in the bag to weigh down the paper bag
Scissors and glue
Paste the eyes, mouths and noses to create a face on the lower half of the paper bag, or draw a face on the bag. Cut the top part of the bag from the top to half way down to create “hair”. Decorate any way you choose. Put the weight in the bag to hold it upright. To see and illustration go here http://craftscollection.net/?p=1225
White paper plates
Glue or stapler
Cut a pie shape out of the paper plate. Cut a 2 inch oval from a piece of paper. Place the plate with the missing piece so that the missing part is on the top. Place the pie shape so that the plate is the “wings” and the pie place creates that angels “dress”. Staple or glue in place. Draw the face on the oval and glue in place. The Angel can be decorated any way you choose. To see an illustration go here http://craftyjournal.com/sparkly-paper-plate-angel/
