Bed time is hard!

Bedtime is hard. I think September bedtimes are the hardest. The summertime adventures are over and everyone is settling into a new routine. Bedtime has traditionally been a time to settle in a recap the day, the good things, the difficult things, the confusing things, the wonderful and amazing things. Bible books and bedtimes prayers can help to frame all those experiences in light of God’s loving presence, for you and for your child. Take some time and make them part of your evening.

Book
99 Stories from the Bible by Juliet David (Read one story each night.)

Activity

Take some time to hear what your child thinks of the story. Some nights this may be a long conversation, other nights not so much.

Prayer
Thank you God for the story about__________.
Thank you for (each person adds their own thank you.)
Thank you for loving us and always being with us.
(Say the Lord’s prayer together)
Amen.
